Structure & Frame :

Designed by Gianluigi Landoni, the Torso 837/AI-GAS is an up&down stool featuring a central swivel leg and a metal base available in either round or square shapes. The frame is equipped with a gas lift system for height adjustment and includes either a "T" or circular footrest.



Top & Materials :

The stool is characterized by an upholstered seat padded with fire-retardant polyurethane foam. It can be covered in a variety of materials including fabric, leather, or faux leather from the Potocco collection.

As a modern and minimal seating solution, the Torso stool focuses on its adjustable functionality and essential design. The project is described as both essential and sophisticated, prioritizing the mastery of woodworking and metal joinery without additional utility storage features.



Design & Aesthetic :

The Torso family is characterized by wooden crossings that stand on delicate metal feet, representing a "divertissement" where the company expresses its expertise in bending wood to its will. The 837/AI-GAS model specifically offers a modern and minimal look that adapts to diverse environments.



Functionality & Placement :

This up&down stool is highly versatile, designed to adapt to domestic contexts as well as professional bars and restaurants. The gas height adjustment system allows it to be used at various counter and bar levels.



Finishes & Customization :

Frame (Metal): Available in Chromed metal, Bronzed brass, or Black chrome. Seat (Upholstery): Can be customized with any fabric, leather, or faux leather from the collection. Requirements: Upholstering one unit requires approximately 0.70 meters of fabric (H 140 cm) or 1.20 square meters of leather.


Dimensions & Configuration :

Model 837/AI-GAS features a seat width and depth of 45 cm (17 ¾"). It is part of the broader Torso collection, which also includes various dining tables with solid ash or Canaletto walnut bases.
